Overview
In this module we'll continue to build your cognitive framework about rheumatology but this time fibromyalgia. The goal is to get you to really understand the presentation of fibromyalgia as it can easily be confused with an inflammatory condition. Then you'll really have a good base to compare the presentations of degenerative, inflammatory, and chronic pain conditions.
Learning Objectives
After completing this module, the participant will demonstrate the ability to:
- Describe a prototypical patient with fibromyalgia including what type of people usually develop it, how the disease typically starts, what joints it affects, how it progresses, and what constitutional features are present?
