Overview
In this module we'll start to build your cognitive framework about rheumatoid arthritis. The goal is to get you to really understand the presentation of rheumatoid arthritis. Once you know this it becomes easier to identify those patients with and without RA but it does take some time and practice. This module will provide some basic fundamentals of rheumatology - a must for everyone!
Learning Objectives
After completing this module, the participant will demonstrate the ability to:
- Describe a prototypical patient with inflammatory arthritis, such as rheumatoid arthritis, including what type of people usually develop it, how the disease typically starts, what joints it affects, how it progresses, and what constitutional features are present?
